マンハッタン
初めてニューヨーク行ったのは、マンハッタンの夜景を撮りに行くのが目的だった。地図を見て、ブルックリンから夜景を撮るのに1番近い地下鉄の駅を探し、住宅街を抜け、街並みが開けて目の前にマンハッタンの夜景が見えた時には鳥肌が立ったとを覚えてる。
残念ながらその時の写真は残ってないけど、ワールドトレードセンターには思い入れがあったので、9.11のテロでワールドトレードセンターが崩落した時はショックだった。
Manhattan
The first time I went to New York City, my goal was to go photograph the night view of Manhattan. I remember looking at a map of New York, finding the closest subway station to take a night view from Brooklyn, walking through a residential area, and getting goose bumps when the streets opened up and I saw the night view of Manhattan right in front of me.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos from that time, but I was so attached to the World Trade Center that I was shocked when it collapsed after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
