学生の頃はPOPEYE少年だったので西海岸に憧れがあったけど、何回か行った撮影旅行で西海岸へ行ったのは２回だけ、でもニューヨークへは５、６回行ってます。のんびりとした西海岸とは違い、アートでもエンタテイメントでも最先端の街、英語も話せない、何もわからない僕は毎回緊張の連続でしたが、日本に帰ってくると何故かまた行きたくなるのです。と言いながらもう何十年もニューヨークには行ってないですが、、、

I was a POPEYE boy when I was a student, so I had a longing for the West Coast, but I went to the West Coast only twice in my several photo trips, but I went to New York five or six times. Unlike the laid-back West Coast, New York is a cutting-edge city in terms of art and entertainment, and I was always nervous every time I went there because I could not speak English and did not understand anything.
